Factor rates are not interest rates

A factor rate is a multiplier applied once, at funding. $50,000 at 1.35 sets a $67,500 payback whether you hold the money for two months or twelve. Interest is charged on the balance still outstanding, so repaying faster genuinely costs less.

That difference matters more than the headline number. A 1.35 factor and 35% interest are not remotely the same cost.

The two numbers that compare any offer
